I was not disappointed with the Garmin. It is fast to locate your current position and fast to calculate the best route. The Garmin 760 includes an FM transmitter to play directions through the car radio which I will investigate on my next trip.

The maps look really professional and the street names are clear and easy to read while driving. Another advantage of this device is that it has no antenna and this makes it a lot easier to hook it up on the windshield mount. The satellite acquisition time is between 10 and 20 seconds which I think is pretty fast.
